Nick Knowles is one of the UK’s BEST LOVED TV presenters and an RTS award-winning writer.

For the last 20 years, Nick has been the face BBC1’s DIY SOS, which is now the channel’s most watched and longest running prime time factual series. Over the past decade, he has hosted BBC1 prime time Saturday night quiz shows Break the Safe, Secret Fortune and Who Dares Wins

Born in London and raised in Southall, Nick had a passion for rugby and music. After school he tried a variety of jobs including selling carpets, working in a greengrocers and laboured on a building site before moving into media where he worked as a journalist and producer in the UK, Australia and America before finding his calling in front of the camera presenting.

Fronting DIY SOS since 1999, a programme, which transforms the homes and the lives of those in need using the DIY SOS team and local volunteers. 

Nick has never shied away from discussing mental health issues and in April 2017 Nick Knowles presented a documentary ‘Mind Over Marathon’ which featured The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and HRH Prince Harry talking about their charity Heads Together.

In 2018, Nick entertained the nation on the award-winning series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here where audiences fell in love with his kindness and fearlessness. We took the reigns on his socials while he was away, which saw a huge rise in his followers. Whilst in the jungle, Chris Moyles launched a campaign which got Nick to Number 1 in the iTunes chart.
